Quinta São João da Boticária
Évora, Portugal
In the neighbourhood of Évora, one of the oldest and nicest towns of Portugal, in the centre of the lovely province of Alentejo we have a 100 year old quinta, 3,5 km from the citywalls, in the quite northern area of the town. In the house there is all the comfort you need: an ample living annex fully equiped kitchen, one or two bedrooms, a bathroom, a washing machine and heating. There are two apartments. They have seperated entrances, in the house there is a door between the two apartments. There is a possibility of renting the whole house with a group of 6. In that case you have two livings/kitchens, two bathrooms and three bedrooms. Outside you have a lot of space where you can enjoy the surroudings and the view on the orange trees, olives and vines. Both houses have their own terrace. There is a swimmingpool next to our own house at ca. 50 mts, it is accessible and open for the guests.|
The house is a few minutes driving by car from the town, 15 minutes by bike, a bus stops near the house that goes into town every hour.

From the house you can start right away for a nice daywalk to different villages on walking distance. There is a path along the Aquaduct that is not far from us and leads into the town of Évora. By bike you can go further of course. By car there is a lot to see as far as the Spanish border, especially the walled cities you find in this area, because of many fights and wars between Portugal and Spain in the 15th and 16th century. A marriage between a Portugese prince and a Spanish princess in 16th century, meant the expulsion of jews and moors that lived happily and peaceful together in Portugal. This made temporarily an end to these wars.

The minimum stay in Quinta da Boticária is three nights.
We have international television programs and Wifi. You can get internet data in the two apartments.
